Mark Travis Biography...
At an early age Mark was drawn to the wonders of magic by his gifted grandfather, Joseph Mayagoitia. Mark would bug him to share the secrets. Eventually, this led to Mark's introduction to art of prestidigitation. The rest is history. Shortly thereafter, Mark was performing for his friends and family. A magician was born and he's been practicing this ancient art ever since. It's an art Mark truly cherishes, as every time he practices or performs, it brings him back to the time he was amazed by his grandfather's sleight of hand.

Over the years, he has studied the art of conjuring diligently with many seasoned performers and is a graduate of the Chavez Studio of Magic. In the early 90’s Mark began to realize magic was more than a hobby, and started performing as a Strolling Magician. Currently, Mark can be seen performing regularly at a number of locations around the greater San Antonio area (contact Mark to see where he’s performing this week!).

Since his magical journey began over 30 years ago, Mark has been entertaining audiences, combining great comedy and audience participation with astounding magic. Mark places special emphasis on the entertainment aspect of his performances to ensure everyone has a memorable experience, rather than just being puzzled by his expert sleight-of-hand skills. When he performs, his audience soon learns the impossible can and will happen.
